On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Join Dean Ngaire Woods and Lord Gus O’Donnell for the 2024 launch of the Blavatnik Index of Public Administration, the comprehensive index of international indicators to assess the effectiveness of national public administrations and civil services across the globe.
An effective public administration plays a vital role in determining a country’s progress and prosperity. The Blavatnik Index’s core objective is to help public administration leaders – and those working with them or holding them to account – determine how they are performing and identify ways to improve their performance. The Index looks at key features of public administration across strategy and leadership; public policy; national delivery and underpinning people and processes.
This year’s launch event will feature discussions with senior public administration leaders and academics on the importance of effective public administration, and how we can develop a global learning community to improve public administrations, enabling a more data-informed approach to public administration reform.
