OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Join Mansfield College and the Adam von Trott Committee for a film screening of ‘Freya – Love in the Time of Resistance’ (in German with English subtitles). Freya was the widow of Helmuth James von Moltke, and the screening will be attended and introduced by their eldest son, Helmuth Caspar.
“I saw him and my heart stood still.” 18-year-old Freya Deichmann meets Helmuth James von Moltke in the summer of 1929. He is the love of her life, which must prove itself under the challenging conditions of the Third Reich. The story builds to a dramatic climax, wavering between hope and final separation. Helmuth James is imprisoned, everyday could be the last. Their big luck: the prison chaplain, a good friend, was able to smuggle almost daily letters in and out of prison. A love in the time of resistance, that doesn’t end even with the execution of the loved one.
