Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Each year, thousands of children are affected by armed conflict in countries around the world. This includes attacks on schools, hospitals and homes; abduction; displacement; and recruitment into armies.
Save the Children is working to protect children who are in danger, from armed conflict and other risks. Kevin Watkins, CEO of Save the Children (previously at ODI and Brookings Institution), will speak about what they are doing to save children’s lives, and improve their chances in the future.
