From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.

This series examines a range of topics that illuminate these questions, by examining the historical entanglements between migration, im/mobility, colonialism, race, and borders.

About the Speaker
Professor Bonny Ibhawoh is Professor and Senator William McMaster Chair in Global Human Rights at McMaster University. He is the Director of the McMaster University Centre for Human Rights and Restorative Justice. He is a legal historian who researches and teaches in the fields of human rights, imperial history, development studies and peace/conflict studies. He has taught in universities in Africa, Europe, the United States and Canada. He Chairs the United Nations Expert Mechanism on the Right to Development. He is the author of the books Imperial Justice, and Human Rights in Africa.
