Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The Oxford University Heritage Network is hosting a short talk by Ashley Coutu and Marenka Thompson-Odlum on their Heritage Seed Funded project titled: ‘Resisting Silence: An exploratory archaeological survey of enslaved life on Belvedaire Estate, St. Lucia (c. 1780-1838).’
Prof. Heather Viles, Dr. Oliver Cox and OUHN staff will also be attending this informal gathering of members across the University that are interested in the Heritage research to network, chat and enjoy an afternoon break over tea!
Feel free to extend the invitation to any colleagues who may wish to attend. Low cost drinks and snacks are available at the Club so please sign up and come and join us!
Please contact the OUHN administrators should you have any questions, or if you do not want to RSVP via Eventbrite at: heritage@ouce.ox.ac.uk
