On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Walking is more than just a mode of transport—it is a key solution to creating healthier, more sustainable, and more livable cities. Join us for an engaging fireside chat with Bronwen Thornton, CEO of Walk21, in conversation with Prof. Radhika Khosla, as we explore how walkable cities can transform urban life.
This discussion will highlight the role of walking in urban design, public health, and climate action, addressing how pedestrian-friendly infrastructure can reduce emissions, improve well-being, and foster more connected communities. Whether you’re interested in sustainable transport, city planning, or environmental policy, this event will offer fresh insights into how we can rethink mobility for a better future.
Don’t miss this opportunity to hear from a leading global advocate for walkability.
