Bio:
Prof. Betty Raman is an Associate Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine at the Radcliffe Department of Medicine, University of Oxford, and Honorary Consultant Cardiologist at Oxford University Hospital. She leads a translational research programme focused on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), using advanced cardiac imaging (including CMR, DTI, and spectroscopy, CT) for deep phenotyping and therapy development. She also led multicentre studies during the COVID-19 pandemic, characterising multiorgan involvement and long-term outcomes. She is the NIHR Research Delivery Network Cardiology Lead for the South Central Region and integrates imaging, omics, and AI to uncover disease mechanisms and guide personalised interventions across cardiovascular and multisystem diseases.
