OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

A great number of Jews participated in the Resistance in France during World War II. What was the aim of their struggle? To fight against the Occupation in France? To restore the Republican Regime? To save the persecuted Jews? To help install a communist regime? While questioning the relevance of the term “Jewish Resistance,” this talk will challenge the accepted notion of a “French” Resistance, and examine what is at stake in this complex issue.
The presentation will be followed by discussion and drinks.
The event is free and open to all.
