Dr Sebastian Brock is Emeritus Reader in Syriac Studies and Emeritus Fellow of Wolfson College. Before moving to Oxford in 1974 he had taught at Birmingham and Cambridge Universities. He has written extensively on early Syriac literature and in particular on the Greek the Syriac translations of the Hebrew Bible. Among his publications is The People and the Peoples. Syriac Dialogue Poems from Late Antiquity (Journal of Jewish Studies, Supplement Series 3 2019).
