On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Professor Jamison was trained in engineering at Stanford University and in economics at Harvard where he took his PhD under Kenneth Arrow. His career has been in academia and at the World Bank. The Lancet established a commission to examine, from an economics perspective, the value of investing in health and where the highest value investments in disease control and in health systems might lie. Chaired by former US Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, the commission published its third report, Global Health 2050, in The Lancet in October 2024. This seminar will overview GH 2050’s findings on trends in health globally and summarize its 7 key messages for policy.
