On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

A five-day intensive course exploring the critical challenges facing those working towards universal access to safe and affordable surgical, anaesthesia and obstetrics care.
This course looks at the provision of these services at a global level, and topics include:
Beyond the Lancet Commission on Global Surgery
Digital technology in global surgery
Equipping the surgical workforce
The journey to safe surgery
Research and training opportunities
Developing cooperative partnerships
Working in new contexts
Resource allocation
Ethics and advocacy.
The course is suitable for those in all disciplines interested in global surgery, anaesthesia and obstetrics. Those wishing to may apply to take the course with accreditation.
Apply by 30 April 2023 to be considered for a bursary.
Non-bursary application deadline is 30 May 2023.
The course is run by our multi-disciplinary faculty from Oxford University Global Surgery Group, with invited UK and international guest speakers.
