Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Mariam Jamal-Hanjani is a Clinician Scientist and Group Leader at the UCL Cancer Institute in London. She studied theoretical physics and medicine at UCL and is a Thoracic Medical Oncologist. Her research is focused on the biological processes driving metastatic disease, including genomic drivers of tumour dissemination, tumour- and host-initiated mediators of catabolic states suggestive of cachexia, and failure of the adaptive immune system.
