On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

We are very excited to host Professor Thomas Otte on How Wars End next week.
There will be a drinks reception prior to the talk from 20:00.
Thomas Otte is Professor of Diplomatic History at the University of East Anglia, where he teaches Diplomatic, International, and Military History, specialising in the history of great power relations between the 16th and 20th centuries. He has published twenty-one books, including a biography of Sir Edward Grey that won Book of the Year awards from the New Statesman and the Spectator, and an analysis of the outbreak of the First World War. Professor Otte has been an advisor to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and is an elected member of the Council of the Royal Historical Society.
