Investigating the impact of long-term blood pressure in predicting incident of cardiovascular disease in ‘real world’ settings using evidence from large-scale electronic health records

Dr Dexter Canoy (Epidemiologist, Deep Medicine research group) will discuss how large-scale electronic health records can be used to characterise long-term, current and usual blood pressure, compare risk associations across these different blood pressure phenotypes, and evaluate the performance of commonly used cardiovascular disease risk prediction models when adding indicators of long-term blood pressure.

A recording will be made available shortly after the event. Follow us on Twitter @georgeinstuk with #GeorgeTalksUK to catch the release.
