On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Professors Martin Puchner (Harvard) and Peter D. McDonald (St Hugh’s) discuss the unforeseen convergences between The Written World: How Literature Shapes History (Granta) and Artefacts of Writing: Ideas of the State and Communities of Letters from Matthew Arnold to Xu Bing (Oxford), both of which appeared in 2017. Intended for students and colleagues at all levels and across all disciplines, the workshop will focus on questions of method in the context of recent debates about the future of the Humanities.
A sandwich lunch will be available to the attendees from 12pm with the discussion starting at 12:30pm.
The event is free and open to all.
