Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Prof Xiang’s current research focuses on aging/stress-related metabolic and inflammatory disorders and diseases like type 2 diabetes, diabetic cardiomyopathy, heart failure, and Alzheimer’s disease. He has recently characterized a novel insulin receptor and beta-adrenoceptor network expressed in different tissues. One of his major goals is to understand the prevalent co-existence of insulin resistance and adrenergic dysregulation in various diseases. He utilizes a wide range of tools from single molecular analysis of receptor complex high resolution of living cell imaging to in vivo genetic, surgical, and pharmacological manipulation.
