Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Meeting in Seminar Room A in the English faculty on alternating Thursdays (Week 1, 3, 5, 7) from 3-5PM. The slated program varies from week to week and consists of student presentations on contemporary topics as they may be related to world literary frameworks, including the expansion of audio-visual mediums across the world, literature as it exists on global platforms like TikTok and what constitutes “literature” in the context of ‘found’ work and AI generation. The topics are usually revealed on the day of, and then followed by a discussion among participants.
