On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

The one-day conference ‘Mobilising Resources for War’ will take place on December 10th 2019 at The Old Library, All Souls College.
Fighting wars involves more than simply an ability to pay for them. This one-day conference examines how states and semi-state actors have secured resources ranging from manpower to arms and ammunition, between the sixteenth and mid-twentieth centuries across the globe. The event is part of collaboration between Oxford’s History Faculty and the Sir Michael Howard Centre for the History of War at King’s College London since 2017 examining key themes in human conflict across time, space and cultures.
The programme is available here fiscalmilitary.history.ox.ac.uk/mobilising-resources-war-programme
Registration (including refreshments and a sandwich lunch) is free but places are limited. To express your interest please email war@history.ox.ac.uk
