The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Private Equity and Covid-19

Join us for the first in our new Leadership in Extraordinary Times series: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly: Private Equity and Covid-19
The Good: Private Equity helped many companies in unique ways during the Covid-19.

The Bad: Many Private Equity-controlled companies were particularly hurt during the crisis due to the high debt put by PE on them, and many UK well-known companies went bankrupt as a result.

The Ugly: Many highly indebted PE-controlled companies were rescued by the tax payer, leading to the feeling that this was again a case of capitalism for the rich and communism for the poor.

Vindi Banga, former Unilever global director and Ludovic Phalippou, Professor of Financial Economics will discuss these differing views and separate the truth from the fiction.
