OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.

The Oxford University Society for Synthetic Biology (SynBio.Oxford) is pleased to be hosting a talk by Dr Piers Millet (Senior Research Fellow, Future of Humanity Institute). Dr Millet has worked for a large number of international organisations including the UN as a world leading expert on issues of biosecurity and the biological weapons convention. He is also the current co-chair of the iGEM competition’s Safety Committee which oversees the security and safety of the work being done by participating teams around the world.
