OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
In this one-day course we will introduce you to the concept of Deep Fake technology and its social impacts across society. The day will include some hands-on exercises.
Deep Fake primarily uses two type of technologies namely, artificial intelligence and data processing to fabricate images and sounds in order for the digital content appear to be real. This technology allows one to change face hair style, gender, age and other attributes using a simple application that can be downloaded on a Smartphone or a PC.
Tutors:
Dr Sepideh Chakaveh, Departmental Lecturer in Data Science at the Department for Continuing Education.
