OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
You are warmly invited to join Dan Snow (1998) for his in-person lecture at Balliol, Finding Endurance: adventures of a public historian.
Dan Snow is a TV historian and author who was part of the expedition that discovered the wreck of Sir Ernest Shackleton’s ship, the Endurance, in 2022. Dan returns to Balliol to recount this extraordinary experience and to explain how he has tried to build a career as a public historian. He studied history at Balliol 1998-2001 and joined the BBC shortly after. Ever since, he has been making documentaries, podcasts, social posts and has even written a book or two.
If you would like to attend, please contact the Balliol Development Office to reserve your place: mailto:development.office@balliol.ox.ac.uk
