On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Ngaire Woods, Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government, is joined by André Hoffmann and his co-author, Peter Vanham, to discuss their new book The New Nature of Business: The Path to Prosperity and Sustainability.
The New Nature of Business: The Path to Prosperity and Sustainability lays out a vision where business adopts a “nature agenda” and pursues sustainable, inclusive prosperity. It describes how companies should change their ways to have continued success, and why the current modus operandi is not working. André and Peter present a template for creating “sustainable prosperity”, and case-studies of companies that survived and thrived by opting for change – from Roche to IKEA. In doing so, they suggest a way out of long-standing dilemmas, such as how to balance business needs with impact on nature, shareholders with stakeholders, and short-term vs. long-term profits.
Their book has been described by Richard Branson as “a must-read for any entrepreneur” and by Christine Lagarde as “a compelling blueprint for how companies can reinvent their business models to align with the interests of nature and society – instead of working against them”.
This event is followed by a drinks reception.
