On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

Social Pedagogy is often translated as ‘education in its broadest sense’, and brings an educational lens to social problems. This seminar will introduce Social Pedagogy from its origins in 19C Germany, discuss the findings of comparative research focused on looked after children in Denmark, Germany and England, and map recent policy and practice initiatives to adapt social pedagogic approaches to work with children, young people, and families in multiple settings in the UK. I will finish by presenting ongoing work to develop infrastructure for the development of social pedagogy in the UK.
