Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Pragna Patel is a founding member and Director of the Southall Black Sisters (SBS) and Women Against Fundamentalism. She trained and practised as a solicitor and has spoken and published widely on race, gender and religion. She will speak at this seminar about her own experiences of becoming a black feminist activist in Britain, and will reflect on how race, class, politics and education continue to influence women’s lives and opportunities in the UK and beyond.
