OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Jennifer Altehenger, Jessica Fernandez Lara de Harada, Giuseppe Marcocci, and Filippo de Vivo will be in conversation with Martin Dusinberre about his new book, Mooring the Global Archive: A Japanese Ship and its Migrant Histories (Cambridge, 2023). An open access copy of the book can be consulted here: rb.gy/43epjt.
The discussion will be chaired by John-Paul Ghobrial.
All are welcome, but registration is advised given that seats are limited. An informal drinks reception will follow.
This seminar is supported by funding from the European Research Council Consolidator Grant, Moving Stories: Sectarianisms in the Global Middle East (2021-2026), under the EU’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme (grant number 101001717).
