Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. OUEC has supported over 250 expeditions across the globe, for almost 100 years since 1927. To commemorate this remarkable milestone, we have launched a series of Arctic expeditions and centennial events over a three-year period, leading up to 2027.
Three expedition teams from Oxford are preparing to conduct fieldwork in Svalbard, Iceland and Greenland in 2026. These expeditions address novel research areas across diverse fields, including glaciology, biology and anthropology, while equipping the next generation of explorers with valuable skills and experience.
