On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

This webinar is jointly organised by UKM Medical Molecular Biology Institute (UMBI) and Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH), University of Oxford. Participation is free-of-charge.
Obesity is a significant risk factor for an expanding set of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, many cancers, and an array of musculoskeletal disorders. These conditions are estimated to have contributed to 4 million premature deaths and 120 million disability-adjusted life-years (DALYs) worldwide.
The interactions between genetics and environmental risk factors such as demographic factors, physical inactivity, diet and metabolic markers have been linked to the increased risk of a person’s susceptibility towards obesity. In this webinar, experts in this field will highlight several important topics on obesity that are prevalent in Malaysia and across the globe.
