OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
The Trans Studies Working Group is an emergent cohort of faculty, students, artists, and activists that will serve as an institutional base for trans studies at Oxford, and that seeks to nurture cross-disciplinary trans thought within and beyond the university.
Our first meeting will occur on 22 November, 15:00-17:00, at Schwarzman Centre for the Humanities (Seminar Room 56) in response to the theme of Trans Study and Remembrance. All critical perspectives that attend to trans as analytic, methodology, orientation, or praxis, or to its intersections with critical race, gender, sexuality, and disability studies, are welcome. No RSVP required. Email samir.ravi@stcatz.ox.ac.uk to join the mailing list.
