Details: Talks from two inspiring young researchers who have been successful in combining their research with entrepreneurship, followed by a networking lunch
Dr Martine Abboud (Chemistry) is a Junior Research Fellow in Chemical Biology at the Department of Chemistry. She was named on the 2019 Forbes 30 Under 30 list of the most impressive individuals under 30 in Europe. She is an active science communicator, event organiser, and writer. She will discuss her scientific journey as a first-generation graduate, life-work balance, and entrepreneurial aspirations.
Dominique Piche (Materials) is the co-founder and creative director of UPROSA start-up. She will talk about her experience of juggling DPhil and her entrepreneurial activities, the challenges that this presented and what she sees as her future trajectory.
