Dr. Rémi Buisson is an assistant professor at the University of California Irvine. Dr. Buisson’s research focuses on understanding mechanisms that cause DNA damage and genomic instability in cancer cells. Recent studies in Dr. Buisson’s lab focused on the characterization of APOBEC3A and APOBEC3B, two enzymes promoting DNA damage and mutagenesis in tumors but also the importance to protect cells against viral infections.
