LGBTQ+ History Month Reading Group: 'Seven People Dancing' by Langston Hughes

This reading group celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month by taking a close look at some modern queer short stories (broadly conceived). Topics of conversation might include how moments in LBGTQ+ history are portrayed in fiction; how far queer identity or desire is a matter of interpretation in the chosen stories (and whether this matters), and what makes storytelling queer.

In our final session, Becca Bradburn will introduce a discussion of Langston Hughes’s ‘Seven People Dancing’ (c.1961). All are welcome, and feel free to bring your lunch! Please contact Julyan Oldham with any questions or for reading material.
