Introduction to research funding

OxTalks Change Freeze Starts 2 March

Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.

Introduction to research funding

The PowerHour for Friday 5 July and Friday 2 August will be a double feature covering an ‘*Introduction to research funding*’ in July, followed by ‘*How to Write an Application*’.

Both sessions will be delivered by research grant facilitators Noelle Obers (MSD) and Agnieszka Swiejkowska (SSD).

Each PoPoH session covers:

a brief overview of career and training support available to postdocs and other research staff across the University
a 30-minute lecture by an expert on the session’s theme
a new project management tip each month
a Career Chat where a Careers Adviser for Research Staff will address careers concerns and questions
ideas for simple things you can do now for your career and work/life balance
