Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
The Aspect Student Accelerator Programme (ASAP) Demo Day is a showcase and celebration of some of the UK’s finest social-impact and social entrepreneurship talent. The event will bring together social impact ventures, as well as investors, entrepreneurs, students, staff, and alumni from across the UK’s Aspect network and around the world. Attendees will hear pitches from the cohort of 19 socially-focused businesses, network with the founders and other attendees, and learn more about what these unique businesses have to offer.
About the keynote speaker Rishi Khosla OBE is the CEO and co-founder of OakNorth, the next-generation credit science platform focused on creating a better borrowing experience for the “missing middle” – the growth businesses who are the backbones of economies and communities globally. Prior to this, Rishi was the CEO and co-founder of Copal Amba, a financial research firm which was scaled to 3,000 employees and sold to Moody’s Corporation in 2014. He is also an early stage investor in Paypal and Indiabulls. He has an MSc in Accounting & Finance from the LSE and a BSc in Economics from UCL.
Where to start? If you have never been to a Demo Day before, this is the perfect opportunity to meet the ventures, meet industry-expert judges, and meet each other. You’ll have an opportunity to meet other attendees in the Networking session, and be able to speak directly to founders in the Expo area.
