OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
In September the Society for Early Modern French Studies will hold its annual conference in Trinity College, Oxford. The keynote this year is Dr John Gallagher (History, Leeds), author of Learning Languages in Early Modern England (OUP, 2019). His talk (TEACHING EUROPE FRENCH: THE WORLDS AND WORDS OF CLAUDE MAUGER) will be at 17:00 on Tuesday 12 September. The conference booking is closed, but we’re opening the keynote to a wider audience (no charge) – if you’d like to attend, please let katherine.ibbett@trinity.ox.ac.uk know by September 5th.
