A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. This isn’t brain surgery – it’s much more delicate! Using the world’s most powerful microscopes and stitches finer than a human hair, microsurgeons are now able to reconnect the smallest blood vessels and nerves in the body – saving lives and limbs and restoring quality of life to millions. Trinity alumnus Professor Neil Jones is a distinguished leader in this field and will discuss how microsurgery has revolutionised reconstructive surgery in a variety of settings. He will also share with us his experience of over thirty years of “passing it on” through performing and teaching humanitarian reconstructive surgery in some of the least developed countries in the world.
