Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. St. Catz College Drama Society are debuting their inaugural Musical this March, with a rousing student rendition of RENT.
This lively rock musical is centred around the lives of a group of impoverished young artists, struggling to survive and create a life in Lower Manhattan’s East Village under the shadow of HIV/AIDS at the end of the millennium. Amidst the group’s struggles with hardships such as drug abuse, political unrest and poverty, the find comfort in the community they create. Taking you on a whirlwind of emotions, RENT leaves you wanting to seize no day but today.
Inspired by Puccini’s La Bohème, RENT features powerful and unforgettable songs including Seasons of Love, Take Me or Leave Me, and La Vie Bohème. This award-winning musical is guaranteed to sweep you off your feet!
