Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Oxford Medical Humanities is hosting Professor Lawrence Gostin, renowned expert in global health governance, for a University of Oxford Astor Visiting Lectureship in October 2022. On Monday 3 October, Prof Gostin will give the 2022 Astor Lecture in the Medical Humanities, ‘Global Health Emergencies: From Ebola and Covid-19 to Monkeypox’. This will be followed by a drinks reception. The Astor Lecture is free to attend but registration is required.
