Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Nicola Miller is Professor of Latin American History at UCL. She has published widely on the intellectual, cultural and international history of the Americas. She currently holds a Research Fellowship funded by the Leverhulme Trust to work on a history of knowledge and its
relationship to nation-building in Latin America during the century after Independence. This work will be published as Republics of Knowledge, by Princeton University Press in 2018.
