OxTalks will soon be transitioning to Oxford Events (full details are available on the Staff Gateway). A two-week publishing freeze is expected in early Hilary to allow all events to be migrated to the new platform. During this period, you will not be able to submit or edit events on OxTalks. The exact freeze dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.

Join us for the launch of our new citizen-science project, where you can take a trip down a double helix (that’s DNA)! Become a Genome Detective and help us classify important features of genes from more than 100 disease-causing bacteria, and contribute to the prevention and treatment of infectious disease.
We will show you how anyone can be a Genome Detective – no prior scientific knowledge is required. You just need a computer, internet connection and some curiosity to start hunting through genomes!
This is a free ‘hybrid’ event, but you will need to register for both in-person or on-line tickets.
