Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.

After independence, Nehru became the virtual director of India’s foreign policy. Under his guidance India became the first state to have pursued a policy that was new in the history of international relations- the policy of non-alignment. He was supported by Naser of Egypt, Sukarno of Indonesia and Joseph Broz Tito of Yugoslavia. His policies of non-alignment and Panchscheel—principles of peaceful coexistence—guided India’s international relations until the outbreak of the Sino-Indian War in 1962, which contributed to his declining health and subsequent death in 1964.
