On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

After a successful first event, TORCH is running a second Writing for the Stage workshop on Saturday 1 February – and we have four spaces remaining!
Led by playwright, actor and artistic director Sudha Bhucha, researchers and students from Oxford University will be paired with young people from a local youth group. Together, they’ll explore character development and world building, before producing short pieces of writing for the stage based on, or in response to, their own life experiences.
Participants found the first workshop inspirational and the sharing of insights and experiences with young people particularly valuable.
This is a fantastic opportunity to develop stage writing skills and to gain experience working with a professional practitioner and with young people in the arts.
The workshop takes place in Radcliffe Humanities from 9.45am – 3.30pm. Lunch will be provided and any travel costs reimbursed. This opportunity is open to research and taught students from all departments, faculties and schools.
If you’d like to sign up, or have any questions, please contact Dr Hannah Coleman Manktelow (hannah.manktelow@humanities.ox.ac.uk).
