On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

As the current centrepiece of the Chinese One Belt-One Road (OBOR) initiative, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor consists of a $46 billon dollar (and growing) commitment to upgrade and build new infrastructure, energy projects and industrial zones across the entire length of Pakistan. The new routes will connect Kashgar in Western China to Karachi and Gwadar ports on the Indian Ocean in Southern Pakistan. This one-day conference is a platform to bring together interested researchers and stakeholders to interrogate broad themes relating to the transforming institutions, infrastructure and landscapes of this region.
