Intersection across the Pacific: Race, Migration, and the Environment in Modern East Asia

The International History of East Asia Seminar for Michaelmas Term 2023 will be held over four sessions in person (Weeks 3, 6, 8) at the Lucina Ho Seminar Room at the University of Oxford China Centre and online (Week 4) via MS Teams (all in-person sessions will also be shown online; Week 4 is online only). Weeks 6 and 8 will take place in-person and online via Teams at 1700 on Wednesdays, Week 3 will take place in-person and online via Teams at 1700 on a Monday, and Week 4 will take place solely online via Teams at 1700 on Wednesday.

We are a seminar on East Asian international history supported by the University of Oxford China Centre. All convenors are current graduate students or early career researchers. We host regular talks by graduate students and researchers in order to facilitate academic dialogue among scholars based in the UK, Europe, as well as those from the other regions of the world.
