Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
Brexit offers a once in a generation to rethink and reboot our food system.
At issue is how and where food grown, caught and reared, how it is processed and marketed, who profits from (and pays for) the current system. And what is the impact of our food system on public health, the environment and the workers in the system.
This evening will scope, discuss and debate how best to take forward the opportunity that Brexit offers.
Duncan Williamson, Head of Food Policy at WWF-UK will introduce the issues and his agenda for change.
Three panellists will add their comment and visions to further prime the audience discussion.
Confirmed panellists are:
Julian Cottee, Founder of Cultivate, Social Entrepreneur and researcher at the Environmental Change Institute
Peter Scarborough, Leader Environmental Sustainability Programme, Nuffield Dept. of Population Health.
The evening will be chaired by Paul Jepson.
