Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. The two-week OxTalks freeze period starts on Monday 2nd March. During this time, there will be no facility to publish or edit events. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period. Once Oxford Events launches, you will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
How we, as a society, supply the resources and energy required to achieve a sustainable environment is an important global challenge. To address this, a recent workshop at the University of Oxford identified a number of multidisciplinary research themes relating to this challenge. A key finding was the need for better connections between practitioners in natural and social sciences and humanities.
Aimed at researchers across the University, this workshop intends to shape a proposal to help develop an appropriate policy framework for policymakers for extractive industries and geological storage, considering geopolitics, ethics and inequality, regulation work practices and international law.
Join this event for your opportunity to: – Hear about the latest research and policy implications in this area from speakers across Oxford; – Meet others at Oxford with similar interests over a networking lunch; – Develop an outline proposal to scope out a collaborative programme of work; and – Find out how to stay involved in future discussions on this topic.
