Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
What options are there for STEM students looking to use and apply their scientific knowledge and skills but who also want to work outside a university research context?
The aim for this session is to provide an introduction to the variety of roles and organisations that may offer graduate entry programmes for science graduates who want to apply their degree more directly in their work. We will be reviewing the many different industry sectors that offer possibilities, and some of the resources that students can use to better organise and focus their search for roles that interest them. We will focus on those organisations that graduate entry programmes, and as part of this we will review the options for penultimate year students to seek internships as well.
We can’t promise an exhaustive list, but we hope to give you some directions, good tools and ideas of how to get you started!
