OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Learn about what flow cytometry by Time-of-Flight is capable of and it’s advantages for highly multiplexed analysis of single cells.
Find out how to use Imaging CyTOF to advance your spatial proteomics with 35+ markers in one panel and no auto-fluorescence.
The talk will consist of a short technology overview followed by examples of related research projects.
Flow cytometry by CyTOF:
* Analysis of metabolic profile of immune cells in whole blood low volume samples from anaemic patients with or without Fe supplementation
* Analysis of metabolic profile of macrophages in context of pancreatic cancer
Tissue imaging by CyTOF:
* Investigation of bone marrow macrophages, expression of ligands and receptors on different cell types and assessment of changes after treatment on bone marrow trephines in the context of Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukaemia
* Neuro-oncological cellular landscape of human and mouse tumours
* Spatial complexity in neurodegenerative diseases.
The speaker Michalina Mazurczyk is Facility Manager at the MRC Translational Immune Discovery Unit, MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford.
