On 28th November OxTalks will move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events' (full details are available on the Staff Gateway).
There will be an OxTalks freeze beginning on Friday 14th November. This means you will need to publish any of your known events to OxTalks by then as there will be no facility to publish or edit events in that fortnight. During the freeze, all events will be migrated to the new Oxford Events site. It will still be possible to view events on OxTalks during this time.

In this session participants will be introduced to key archival, printed and electronic resources, such as finding aids, bibliographic resources and primary sources for post-1800 global history. The session will point out other existing support, such as online guides and relevant subject librarians.
Subjects to be covered include: finding relevant modern Global history / non-Western resources and finding tools in Oxford; identifying and searching key databases in Databases A-Z; using key portals and gateways to libraries and archives of online sources texts.
Intended Audience: Students, researchers and anyone interested in the topic
