Oxford Events, the new replacement for OxTalks, will launch on 16th March. From now until the launch of Oxford Events, new events cannot be published or edited on OxTalks while all existing records are migrated to the new platform. The existing OxTalks site will remain available to view during this period.
From 16th, Oxford Events will launch on a new website: events.ox.ac.uk, and event submissions will resume. You will need a Halo login to submit events. Full details are available on the Staff Gateway.
In this session participants will be introduced to key archival, printed and electronic resources, such as finding aids, bibliographic resources and primary sources for post-1800 global history. The focus will be on non-European history (but exclude African and US history) and will draw predominantly on English language resources. The session will point out other existing support, such as online guides and relevant subject librarians.
Subjects to be covered include: finding relevant modern Global history / non-Western resources and finding tools in Oxford; identifying and searching key databases in Databases A-Z; using key portals and gateways to libraries and archives of online sources texts.
Intended Audience: Students, researchers and anyone interested in the topic
