OxTalks will soon move to the new Halo platform and will become 'Oxford Events.' There will be a need for an OxTalks freeze. This was previously planned for Friday 14th November – a new date will be shared as soon as it is available (full details will be available on the Staff Gateway).
In the meantime, the OxTalks site will remain active and events will continue to be published.
If staff have any questions about the Oxford Events launch, please contact halo@digital.ox.ac.uk
Do you have an idea for a startup? Now what? How do you evaluate the commercial potential of an idea and determine ultimately whether it will succeed or fail?
Please join us for our lecture on November 9th as we learn how to explore business tools to develop and evaluate your idea. We will hear from two speakers: Dr Maria Nikolou, a Senior Programme Manager at the Entrepreneurship Centre and Dr Les Russell, the CEO of Organox. Dr Nikolou will discuss the Lean Canvas entrepreneurial tool and how it can be used to assess the impact and tangibility of a business; Dr Russell will then describe how he successfully applied this tool to build his company.
This session is part of a series on entrepreneurship in health and life-sciences organised by Innovation Forum Oxford, in collaboration with the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine.
